Warner Bros. is working on a new Game of Thrones movie, although it’s still early. Since the popular TV series ended in 2019, both HBO and Warner Bros. have been looking for ways to expand the fantasy world created by George R.R. Martin.
Until now, the spin-offs have only been TV shows, like House of the Dragon, which will finish its second season this summer, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, expected in 2025. More shows are also being developed.
The Hollywood Reporter says several people have confirmed that a Game of Thrones movie is starting to be worked on. There’s no writer, director, or cast picked yet. However, Warner Bros. is interested in bringing the series to theaters. They plan to make “at least one” movie, but there might be more future films.

Since the show ended in 2019, the way in which the entertainment industry shares stories has changed a lot. Now, companies are mixing movies and TV shows to make franchises bigger and reach more fans across both theaters and streaming platforms.
Changes at Warner Bros. Discovery, especially with HBO/Max, have made it easier for franchises to connect both TV shows and movies.
