After years of development and a long gap between sequels, Final Destination 6, now titled Final Destination: Bloodlines, finally made its way through production last year. Franchise producer Craig Perry previously revealed that the film was targeting a 2025 theatrical release to mark the 25th anniversary of the original movie.
It will even be available on IMAX screens! It has now been confirmed that Final Destination: Bloodlines will hit theaters on May 16, 2025, and its teaser trailer, which was released online last month, has already built excitement.
Now, a newly unveiled poster highlights the film’s R rating, as assigned by the Motion Picture Association, due to “strong violent/grisly accidents and language.” You can check out the poster at the bottom of this article.
The synopsis for Final Destination: Bloodlines is as follows:
Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

The legendary Tony Todd, who sadly passed away, returns as mortician Bludworth in this film. He is joined by a cast that includes Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee.
Jon Watts, known for directing Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, is producing the film alongside Craig Perry, Dianne McGunigle, and Sheila Hanahan Taylor. Watts developed the initial concept, which was later expanded into a screenplay by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick. Directing the film are Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, the duo behind the 2018 film Freaks (starring Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern) and the 2019 live-action Kim Possible movie.
