The long-awaited release date for Euphoria season three has finally been confirmed, nearly four years after the second installment aired. HBO Max announced on Instagram Dec. 3 that the Zendaya-led series will return in April 2026.
In addition to the major reveal, HBO shared a new photo of Zendaya as Rue wearing her signature black hi-top Converse, sitting in an old pickup truck, and smiling at the camera. The caption read, “Let’s ride.”
Zendaya will be joined once again by her principal castmates for the show’s third and final season, including Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Hunter Schafer (Jules), Alexa Demie (Maddy) and Maude Apatow (Lexi). Several new faces will also appear this season: Grammy winner Rosalía, former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch and A Different World star Kadeem Hardison.
The story picks up years after the events of season two, marking a major time jump for the characters. For Rosalía, joining the Sam Levinson-created series was an easy decision.
“If there’s anything that excites me as much as finding a good melody or a good lyric, it’s becoming a better performer every day,” she said in a Feb. 14 statement posted to X. “Euphoria has been my favorite series of the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all these colleagues that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam’s vision to reality.”
She added, “I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!!”
Levinson also teased what fans can expect from the finale season, hinting at multiple twists and confirming a major plotline.
“I will say that Cassie and Nate do in fact get married. I’m confirming it,” he revealed to Variety in an interview published Dec. 3. “And I promise that it will be an unforgettable night.”
He also updated fans on the fates of other characters:
“Jules is in art school, very nervous about having a career as a painter and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs,” he said. “Maddy is working in Hollywood at a talent agency for a manager, she’s obviously got her own side hustles going. And Lexi is an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, who is just absolutely delightful and a true icon.”
Sydney Sweeney added another tease during an October interview with E! News, simply saying one word fans should expect in season three: “Dildos.”
“Hold on to those dildos,” she joked, adding that Cassie will bring her usual emotional chaos. “It’s Cassie, what do you expect?”
With the creators calling it their strongest work yet, Euphoria fans appear to have plenty in store when the series returns.
