The tone of Enola Holmes 3 is set to change, growing up alongside its audience. Reports reveal that Barantini impressed producers and executives by suggesting a slightly darker and more mature direction for the movie. He used Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as an example of his vision, aiming to bring a similar darker vibe compared to the earlier films in the series.

In November 2023, Netflix confirmed that Enola Holmes would return for a third movie. Scott Stuber, Netflix’s Head of Film, shared with Collider that the team is excited to work with Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things once again.
