Dorinda Medley was ready to conquer the castle in The Traitors Season 3 until the Traitors had other plans. The Real Housewives of New York alum recently shared with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show how she prepared for the cutthroat competition with intense dedication, only to become the season’s first murder victim.
I prepared like I was really going to war. I read The Art of War twice, and took notes. Not the Cliff Notes, I actually read it. I studied philosophers like Nietzsche.

Medley, who once lived in Scotland with her first husband, Ralph Lynch, explained that her daughter, Hannah Lynch, played a pivotal role in helping her strategize.
Hannah, who’s a big academic, she’s at Harvard, was writing all these strategies and putting me through scenarios.
Medley said
She even taped poster boards of her strategies on the walls of her room at the Scottish castle where the show was filmed.
I went in as lady of the manor and I was like, ‘I’m going to be queen of this castle. I’m so here,’
she said.
However, her ambitious plans were cut short when she was eliminated by the Traitors in Episode 2, becoming the first murder victim of the season. Fallon joked about her early exit, quipping, “And then you had to take the poster board down the same day.” Medley replied with humor, “No, but I was really close.”
Reflecting on her untimely departure, Medley embraced the attention it brought.
If you are going to get murdered early on, I did it right because the outrage, I have to say, I’ve really enjoyed.

Dressed in an all-black ensemble for her interview, Medley playfully acknowledged the theme. “I’m dressed like this because it’s my funeral tonight, right? Because I got killed off.”
Despite her early exit, Medley expressed eagerness to return to the series if given another opportunity.
It’s a great experience, totally different from Housewives. But it’s a great experience.
