DC Comics is bringing back the magician hero Zatanna with a new solo comic series that will be officially part of the main DC storyline. Zatanna, also known as “Zee” to fans, is returning in February 2025 in a six-issue miniseries called Zatanna. The series will be written and illustrated by Jamal Campbell, with Ariana Maher handling the lettering.
Even though Zatanna has shown up as a side character in several stories lately, like those featuring the Bat-Family and Justice League Dark, this new series will give her the spotlight in her main story. This time, she’ll have a complete supporting cast, meaning a group of other characters who will be part of her world in this series.
DC is also working on more short miniseries for other characters who are usually considered “minor” but are loved by fans, such as Black Lightning, the Question, and the Challengers of the Unknown. This is all part of DC’s “All In” era, which is focused on bringing these popular but lesser-used heroes into the spotlight.

DC recently started a new project called “All In.” This project isn’t changing the whole DC universe but is giving fresh attention to many characters with new stories. Zatanna is one of these heroes. Besides being part of the Justice League’s new Unlimited team, she’ll also have her own solo adventures in this new series.
DC has shared that Zatanna’s new series will have six issues, and she’ll face a brand-new villain called Lady White. Not much is known about why Lady White is after Zatanna, but she has already made it personal by capturing Zatanna’s team. With magic spells and curses, this story is set to be one of Zatanna’s darkest yet, and hints from the writer suggest it might be even more special than expected.
