Former Australian Survivor winner David Genat made reality TV history by winning the largest cash prize ever on a reality show. He took home the top award on the US series Deal or No Deal Island, which mixes Deal or No Deal and Survivor elements.

In the finale that aired on Wednesday, Genat — known as the “Golden God” — faced a tense decision between two final cases with host Joe Manganiello. Genat first appeared on Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders in 2019 and won Survivor: All-Stars in 2020.
Adding to the drama, Chrissy Teigen returned as the mystery banker nearly 20 years after becoming the first female banker on the original US version of Deal or No Deal.
Ultimately, Genat avoided a low-value case with just $118 and walked away with a massive $9.1 million. This adds to the $500,000 he won during Australian Survivor, leaving him with a fortune big enough to enjoy serious luxuries.
I’m going to definitely buy a new motorcycle, a new Harley. All my kids are about to start driving, so I’ve probably got to buy a fleet of vehicles for them.
Genat said on the Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie radio show this morning.

Genat also said that Tiegan was “flirting with me hard” — which he joked was a reward “worth far more than the cash prize” — and even told her husband, John Legend, to “watch out”.
He beat out other well-known reality stars like Big Brother US winner Will Kirby and Survivor icon Parvati Shallow to win.
With all that money, you might think Genat would just ride off into the sunset on his new Harley, but he’s not done yet.
The Survivor champ is coming back for a third round on the show, this time in the new season called Australia V The World, which is expected to air later this year.
