Charlie Cox recently shared his thoughts on Daredevil’s chances of joining the next two Avengers movies. He became a fan favorite after starring in Netflix’s Daredevil for three seasons. When the show got canceled, it seemed like the end, but Cox returned as Matt Murdock in 2021 and has been making more appearances in the MCU ever since.
His next big project is Daredevil: Born Again, but that might not be the last time we see him. Since Daredevil is now part of the larger MCU, there’s a real chance he could show up in future Avengers movies.
In an interview with GQ UK, Cox said Daredevil joining the Avengers is more possible than ever. He’s excited about the idea for two reasons. First, he has grown to love Daredevil even more over the years, and seeing the character reach new heights in the MCU would be amazing. Second, being in Avengers movies could open up more film opportunities for him outside of Marvel.
I think it’s more possible than it’s ever been, yeah. I would love to be in one of the Avengers films, or another Spider-Man, or something like that. For a couple of reasons. One, because over the years I have become a geeky fan of the character, and I weirdly, for the character’s sake, feel like it’d be really cool for him to get that kind of upgrade.
I would also just love it in terms of what it would do for my chances of getting other movie roles.

Cox has already proven he can lead a show as Daredevil. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, he had only a short scene as Matt Murdock, but it became one of the movie’s most talked-about moments. That just shows how much potential Daredevil has in Marvel’s big-screen projects. From the way Cox talks about it, he’s more than ready to make that happen.
When Cox played Daredevil in Netflix’s The Defenders Saga, the MCU never mentioned the Defenders. But now, things are different. That’s why Cox believes Daredevil has a real shot at appearing in the upcoming Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars. Since most of Cox’s big roles have been in TV shows, he’s also looking to do more movies. Playing Daredevil in two of the biggest Avengers films ever could be a huge step in that direction.
One big issue with the MCU’s Multiverse Saga is that some characters disappear for years. But Daredevil has avoided that problem. He appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), Echo (2024), and will soon star in Daredevil: Born Again (2025).
Cox could keep this momentum going by showing up in the next Avengers movies. If that happens, he’d be one of the MCU’s most consistent stars. As Cox pointed out, Daredevil has a strong chance of joining the Avengers, and Marvel clearly values his character.
