While on stage at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, Dame Judi seemed cheerful at first, but things changed when actor Brendan O’Hea asked her about dealing with grief.
Leigh-Hunt, who acted with Dame Judi in the BBC sitcom As Time Goes By, passed away in September at the age of 88.

Maggie Smith, who passed away in the hospital last month at the age of 89, had been friends with Dame Judi since they met in the 1950s at the Old Vic Theatre in London. They acted together on stage and in films several times and both participated in the 2018 documentary Nothing Like a Dame.
She had a career that lasted 70 years and is remembered for her wide range of roles, from Shakespeare to the Harry Potter movies. Her co-stars, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, were among those who paid tribute to her.
