Milioti talks about her nomination for Best Actress in a Limited Series and shares if she’ll return as Sofia Falcone.
Cristin Milioti was about to take her dog, Rupert, for a walk when her phone started buzzing nonstop. She soon found out she had been nominated for a 2025 Golden Globe for her amazing performance as mob heiress Sofia Falcone in The Penguin.
It’s so exciting, really exciting, I feel so happy and grateful. Wow, the women in my category are amazing. I can’t even put into words how unreal it feels to be nominated with them. They’re all so talented.
she told The Hollywood Reporter
On Monday morning, Milioti got nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or TV Movie. She’s in the same category as Cate Blanchett (Disclaimer), Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country), Sofía Vergara (Griselda), Naomi Watts (Feud: Capote vs. The Swans), and Kate Winslet (The Regime).
The HBO crime drama set in the Batman universe also got a nomination for Best Limited Series, and Colin Farrell, Milioti’s co-star, was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series.

I’m so happy for [showrunner] Lauren LeFranc and Colin, They’re both so talented, and I’m really excited we’ll get to go together. It’ll be amazing to sit at a table and celebrate this project we created.

Although The Penguin is called a limited series, executive producer Matt Reeves and the team have been talking about the possibility of making a second season.
I really hope I get to play Sofia Falcone again, It’s my biggest wish, and I’ve made it clear how much I want it. But I haven’t heard anything official yet.
