Christopher Walken revealed to The Wall Street Journal that he doesn’t use modern technology at all. He doesn’t own a cell phone and only watches TV through a satellite dish on his roof. To watch his role in Severance, Apple had to send him DVD copies of the show.
I don’t have technology. I only have a satellite dish on my house. So I’ve seen Severance on DVDs that they’re good enough to send me, I don’t have a cell phone. I’ve never emailed or, what do you call it, Twittered.
Walken explained
Walken earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the first season of Severance. He described the experience as “a very special job. It was mysterious, but funny and scary, which I’ve always felt was a good combination.” He also shared his connection with series director Ben Stiller, saying,
I was in a play with him 30 years ago, and his mother and father were friends of mine.
Walken added that his long-time friendship with John Turturro, dating back 40 years, brought a natural bond to their on-screen performances.
When you know somebody for a long time, it shows. You can tell that these actors like each other,
he said

Christopher Walken has appeared in some of the biggest films of his career in his 80s, including Severance and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movies. He played Emperor Shaddam IV in Dune: Part Two. When asked if he will return for the third Dune movie based on Dune Messiah, Walken said he doesn’t know yet.
I don’t think I’ve ever finished a job and knew what the next one was, ‘Why did you make that choice?’ I hear that a lot. And the truth is I don’t make choices. I take jobs. I take the next best thing. And that has to do with art, who you’re going to be with, sometimes with the location, how much they’re going to pay you. All sorts of things. I wish I could make choices.
