Christopher Nolan’s movie Interstellar is still very popular in India even after being shown again. People love it because of its amazing space scenes, exciting story, and deep ideas that make you think.
Christopher Nolan’s movie Interstellar has been doing really well at the box office in India since it was shown again on February 7. Even though it first came out 10 years ago, people still love it.
By Monday, February 10, it had made Rs. 12.50 crore, and it’s expected to earn another Rs. 1.75–1.90 crore today, February 11. The money it’s making has only dropped a little, just Rs. 15 lakh from yesterday, and it’s still popular in both fancy theaters and regular ones.
Interstellar will stop showing in IMAX theaters this Friday because a new movie called Chaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, will take its place. This might make Interstellar earn less money for a little while. But when it comes back to IMAX, it’s expected to finish its re-release with around Rs. 30 crore in India, beating Titanic’s 2023 re-release, which made Rs. 20 crore.
People in India still love Interstellar for many reasons. Its story about love, survival, and space is just as powerful now as it was when it first came out in 2014. Fans are excited to watch it again because it reminds them of the past. It’s a brilliant, thought-provoking movie—something director Christopher Nolan is known for. The film was supposed to be re-released in December 2024, but it was delayed to February 2025 because Pushpa 2 was using the IMAX screens. This delay made fans even more eager to see it, which helped boost its ticket sales.

Interstellar is famous for its fantastic story, stunning visuals, and powerful music. Nolan’s direction, Hoyte van Hoytema’s beautiful camera work, and Hans Zimmer’s incredible soundtrack make it an unforgettable movie. It’s also praised for being scientifically accurate, thanks to Nobel Prize-winning scientist Kip Thorne, who helped ensure space science—like wormholes, black holes, and time travel—is realistic.
Interstellar has a great cast, including Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine. They all give excellent performances that make the story feel emotional and powerful.

The film is about Cooper (played by McConaughey), a former NASA pilot who goes on a space mission to find a new planet where people can live because Earth is dying. The story also focuses on his strong relationship with his daughter Murphy (played by Chastain), which makes the movie unique.
With its continued success, Interstellar shows that great movies never get old. As more people watch it during its re-release, its legacy keeps growing even more substantial.
