The pay for this year’s Celebrity Big Brother housemates has reportedly been revealed, with one star set to earn a massive £500,000 for their time on the show, while another will receive just £25,000.
Celebrity Big Brother is just around the corner, with a brand-new batch of housemates ready to step into the iconic Big Brother house. They’re hoping to leave with new friendships, maybe a few rivalries, and a hefty pay cheque.
But winning the show isn’t the only way to cash in. Unlike other reality shows, the Celebrity Big Brother cast will be walking away with very different pay packets for their time in the house.
Last year, X Factor legend Sharon Osbourne was reportedly paid an eye-watering £7,000 for every minute she appeared on screen. Initially, the former judge is said to have requested £100,000 per day to take part as a full-time housemate, but producers couldn’t meet her demands.
As a compromise, Sharon joined the house as a “lodger” and stayed for just nine days. Across the series, she appeared on screen for a total of two hours and 13 minutes.
Meanwhile, her former X Factor co-star Louis Walsh, who made it to the Celebrity Big Brother 2024 final, reportedly walked away with a huge £500,000. This year, only one celebrity is set to earn the same amount. Here’s a breakdown of the reported salaries for this year’s line-up…
Mickey Rourke

American actor Mickey Rourke is set to join this year’s star-studded Celebrity Big Brother line-up. Known for his roles in hit films like The Wrestler, Sin City, and Iron Man 2, fans might also remember him from his time in the boxing ring.
Having always been fiercely competitive throughout his career, a stint in the CBB house could be the perfect way for Mickey to tap back into that drive. While there was talk he could earn up to £1 million for appearing on the show, The Sun reports he’ll be pocketing half that amount.
Mickey will still be the highest-paid contestant of the 2025 series, thanks to his £500,000 fee. A source told the publication:
Mickey is considered a loose cannon, and producers think he is worth getting their big cheque book out for. He is unpredictable, and they know lots of people will tune in to see if he cracks under the pressure.
JoJo Siwa

Former reality TV star JoJo Siwa is reportedly the second highest-paid contestant on this year’s series. She rose to fame on Dance Moms back in 2015 and later appeared in several Nickelodeon shows, including JoJo Siwa: My World, The J Team, and The JoJo & BowWow Show Show. JoJo is said to be earning £400,000 for her time in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Trisha Goddard

TV presenter Trisha Goddard has secured a place in the Celebrity Big Brother line-up with a pretty impressive payday. The 67-year-old has stayed out of the spotlight in recent weeks but is now gearing up to take on the CBB experience.
Trisha has been bravely battling breast cancer and was even told her condition was ‘incurable’. She’s set to earn £200,000, making her the highest-paid British celebrity on this year’s series.
Daley Thompson

Double Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson, 66, is set to join the Celebrity Big Brother house this season. Known for stirring controversy during his athletic career, insiders say that’s exactly why producers were keen to bring him on board.
Daley has reportedly agreed to a £150,000 deal for his time in the house.
Michael Fabricant

Just behind Daley Thompson is former Conservative MP Michael Fabricant, who has reportedly been offered a six-figure deal to join the Celebrity Big Brother house. Sir Michael served as the MP for Lichfield in Staffordshire from 1992 to 2024 and also worked as vice-chairman under former Prime Minister David Cameron.
This won’t be his first time on reality TV, as he appeared on Celebrity First Dates for Stand Up To Cancer in 2017. He is said to have agreed to a £120,000 fee for his time in the house.
Patsy Palmer

The 52-year-old actress, best known for her role as Bianca Jackson on the iconic BBC soap EastEnders, a part she’s played since 1993, is set to receive £100,000 for her time in the house. This amount is reportedly the standard pay for a soap star legend like Patsy Palmer.
Jack P Shepherd

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd, best known for playing Gail Platt’s son, David Platt, will earn the same £100,000 as Patsy Palmer for his appearance on the reality show. Last season, fellow Corrie star Colson Smith captured fans’ attention in the Big Brother house, which seems to have inspired Jack to join this year.
Angellica Bell

Presenter Angellica Bell, 49, will also be joining the luxury celebrity pad. With over two decades of experience on TV, Angellica is well accustomed to the spotlight. Reports suggest she’ll be taking home £80,000 for her time in the house.
Chris Hughes

Chris Hughes, who rose to fame on the 2017 series of Love Island, has agreed to join the CBB house for £45,000. Producers are hoping his large social media following will bring in a younger audience. However, given that some time has passed since his Love Island days, Chris has been placed on the lower end of the pay scale.
Danny Beard

Danny Beard, who won the fourth series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, may have caused a stir with Big Brother bosses on the companion show Late & Live last year. During the show, Danny made headlines after swearing while doing an impression of housemate Louis Walsh.
The incident, in which Danny used the word “c***” before quickly apologizing, didn’t seem to deter producers. Reports suggest they’ve agreed to a £30,000 fee for Danny’s appearance on the CBB series.
Donna Preston

Actress and comedian Donna Preston, known for her appearances on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and Netflix’s The Sandman, joined Celebrity Gogglebox last year. She’s set to earn £30,000 for her time on Celebrity Big Brother. Donna is expected to bring plenty of laughs, and she’s already well-acquainted with the show’s producers thanks to her previous appearances on Live & Live.
Chesney Hawkes

Pop star Chesney Hawkes, best known for his hit The One and Only, is set to earn £25,000, making him the second lowest earner of the group. Reports suggest that he’s not in it for the money, but for the publicity. He’s considered “something of a novelty booking” for the show.
Ella Rae Wise

At the bottom of the list is TOWIE star Ella Rae Wise, who might spill the details of her on-off romance with Dancing On Ice star Dan Edgar. She’s reportedly set to earn £20,000 for her time on the show, a figure that is said to reflect her following numbers. While she has around 340k Instagram followers, Chris Hughes has a much larger following of 2 million.
