Valorie Curry, known for her role in The Boys, has asked fans to respect her “boundaries” after an uncomfortable experience at Comic-Con.
While Valorie Curry was at Belfast Comic-Con on Saturday (September 7), two fans reportedly bothered her about some controversial scenes from The Boys.
“We need to talk about boundaries and what kind of behavior is appropriate.”
Curry shared a video on her Instagram, which was also posted on X, saying,
“I know people have seen my character do some extreme things on The Boys, but it’s not OK or funny to ask me to act them out in person, even if you’re in costume or playing a character. It’s not acceptable at my booth.”
“To the person who kept doing this today, I made it clear it wasn’t OK, but it only seemed to make them and their friend upset. I didn’t think I needed to explain this, but I felt really uncomfortable—and it was obvious.”
she said
Curry mentioned that while she “really enjoys meeting fans” at conventions, she won’t continue doing it “if people behave this way.”
Curry thanked the fans who are “respectful and kind” but asked others to “consider what’s appropriate, professional, and kind” before talking to her.

Curry joined The Boys cast in season 3 as Firecracker, a right-wing villain who tries to earn the trust of Homelander (Antony Starr), the leader of The Seven, a superhero team that opposes The Boys.

Firecracker tries to win Homelander’s favor by offering him sexual favors and taking other extreme actions. Curry added that her character is not the same as who she is in real life, and everything Firecracker does is just part of her acting.
It’s clear that Curry and her character are different because Curry is a lesbian, while Firecracker is against LGBTQ+ people. Curry has said that she finds the character both relatable and repulsive.
Curry told the Hollywood Reporter earlier this year that she’s glad to play a character she finds awful because “it should be someone from the LGBTQ+ community making a fool of her.”
Recently, other celebrities have also talked about fan behavior. For example, pop star Chappell Roan asked her fans to leave her and her friends alone and not to stalk or harass them when they are out.
