Nielsen gave the popular animated series the ARTEY award for being the most-watched streaming show of 2024.
The Heeler family has a big reason to cheer!
Nielsen shared in a new report that Bluey, the beloved kids’ show about a fun-loving Australian Heeler dog family — Bluey, her little sister Bingo, and their parents Bandit and Chilli — is the most-watched show of 2024.
The series was streamed for 55.62 billion minutes on Disney+, with 43% of viewers being kids aged 2 to 11. Thanks to this massive watch time, Bluey earned the ARTEY award for the top streaming title of the year. The Australian cartoon Bluey took the top spot, leaving Grey’s Anatomy far behind with 47.85 billion viewing minutes on Hulu and Netflix.
Family Guy followed with 42.44 billion minutes on Hulu, while Bob’s Burgers reached 36.80 billion minutes on the same platform. NCIS racked up 35.91 billion minutes across Hulu, Netflix, and Paramount+, and Young Sheldon hit 32.08 billion minutes on Max, Netflix, and Paramount+.
Next on the list was The Big Bang Theory with 29.12 billion minutes on Max. Law & Order: SVU earned 28.72 billion minutes across Hulu and Peacock. Criminal Minds had 28.40 billion minutes on Hulu and Paramount+, and SpongeBob SquarePants rounded out the list with 27.87 billion minutes on Paramount+.
Bluey earned its spot on the list after wrapping up Season 3 in April with a 28-minute episode called “The Sign,” followed by a special bonus episode titled “Surprise.”

Bluey’s creator, Joe Brumm, shared his excitement about the upcoming movie in a press release.
I really enjoyed the experience of working with a longer format on The Sign in Series 3, so going even further with a feature film feels like a natural extension of that,
he said
I’ve always thought Bluey deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together.
He added,
While there’s no release date for Season 4 yet, producer Sam Moor confirmed to the BBC in April 2024 that Season 3 was “not the end for Bluey.”
We have plenty of surprises coming your way. We’re already thinking about what’s next,
said Moor
You can watch Bluey on Disney+.
