The Block team accused of cheating by copying another couple’s design ideas has revealed what really happened behind the scenes during filming of the 2025 series.
Han and Can were accused of stealing ideas this week after sharing their plans for a heated seat at the Hepburn Springs Day Spa.
An angry Alicia and Sonny claimed they copied their original plans, but Han and Can denied it.
However, behind-the-scenes footage told a different story, showing Han and Can working with their tradespeople to copy their neighbours’ designs. The Block host Scott Cam had promoted the 2025 season as featuring a more mature group of contestants who would avoid the drama seen in 2024.
But just a few weeks into the new season, tensions are already rising.
Despite the drama Han and Can have caused, the pair told Yahoo that the cast’s dynamic in 2025 was great and that viewers aren’t seeing everything happening off camera.
It really did become a little Block family. Of course, there were some tense moments, big personalities, high stakes, and zero sleep will do that, but behind the scenes, there was so much laughter, support, and fun that didn’t always make it to air. We all went through something so unique together, and that bond is really strong.
Can said
Can said the cast marked the end of the series with a group holiday and everyone got matching tattoos.
The friendships, the growth, and the memories are things we’ll carry forever.
Can said
Given Han and Can’s tendency to twist the truth, it will take confirmation from other contestants to know if things were really as perfect behind the scenes – the drama from this week’s ‘cheating’ accusations suggests otherwise. Han, saying he was “disgusted” to be seen as someone who would steal an idea, even threatened to quit the show.
Meanwhile, Can apologised to Alicia, insisting it was all just a misunderstanding.
I am not allowing them to sit in the van and cry saying they want to go home. You did this knowingly. Don’t bulls**t me.
Alicia said
Even without seeing any incriminating video evidence yet, Alicia and Sonny weren’t buying the girls’ story. Sonny bluntly said Han and Can were dead to him.
They are not sorry, they are sorry they got caught.
he said
To prove their innocence, the girls offered to give Sonny and Alicia the $260,000 caravan prize if they won with their copied design.

But Sonny and Alicia took this as more proof they were guilty. After all, who would give away their prize if they were innocent?
Besides, Alicia and Sonny didn’t want anyone’s leftovers. They had worked hard to get their heated seat plan approved by Hepburn Springs management and were determined to claim their first win.
Today is the day The Block changes, I am p***ed. I am unleashed.
