Marvel Studios has officially confirmed Black Panther 3, just days after Denzel Washington hinted at his role in the movie. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had a tough job of saying goodbye to T’Challa, but it earned lots of praise and did great at the box office.
Ryan Coogler and his team impressed fans with their work. Now, with the tribute to Chadwick Boseman complete, everyone’s wondering where the story of Black Panther 3 will go next.
According to Deadline, Nate Moore, a long-time Marvel Studios executive, will leave his current role after Captain America: Brave New World comes out in 2025. Marvel’s top producers, Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito, praised Moore’s contributions and shared that he will continue to be involved with Marvel in a different role, especially working on Black Panther 3. You can check out their comments below.
Nate has been an amazing part of Marvel Studios and a great friend to everyone here, He’s been with us since 2010, and his work has shaped the stories we tell. While we’ll miss having him on the team, we’re excited to see what he does next and feel lucky to continue working with him in a new way on the next Black Panther movie.

Moore shared his thoughts about leaving Marvel Studios. After working with Marvel since 2010, he expressed his gratitude for his time there. He also shared his excitement about being part of the upcoming Black Panther 3. Here’s what he had to say:
I’ve learned almost everything I know about producing during my time at Marvel Studios, I feel so lucky to have worked with people who care deeply about filmmaking and storytelling, just like my Marvel teammates and the amazing cast and crew of our movies. I’m really excited to use what I’ve learned to work on movies of all kinds, especially as I return to Wakanda for Black Panther 3.

Marvel Studios is working on several big projects, like The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man 4, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars. There are also other movies and shows in the works that haven’t had many updates recently.
After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hinted at Shuri passing the role to Toussaint, fans started expecting a third movie. Now that Black Panther 3 is officially confirmed, it’s added to the MCU’s list of upcoming projects, even though it doesn’t have a release date yet.

With Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars set to release in 2026 and 2027, Marvel probably won’t release too many movies in between. If Black Panther 3 comes out in late 2026 or early 2027, the story might focus on the multiverse.
If it comes out later, in 2027 or 2028, it could explore what happens after Avengers: Secret Wars. Other sequels that might release in Phase 6 or Phase 7 include Doctor Strange 3, Spider-Man 4, and Shang-Chi 2.

Marvel Studios confirmed Black Panther 3 shortly after Denzel Washington accidentally mentioned his involvement in the movie. While it might seem like the film is just starting, Denzel’s role suggests Marvel has been working on it for some time. If that’s true, Black Panther 3 likely already has a solid script and a planned release date that hasn’t been shared yet. This might also be the case for other sequels like Doctor Strange 3, Shang-Chi 2, and Thor 5.
