The Closing Ceremony on August 11 will include performances by three of Los Angeles’ most famous artists, according to reports.
The Paris 2024 Olympics will end with a musical celebration featuring some of Los Angeles’ biggest stars. According to Variety, the August 11 closing ceremony will include performances by Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, each showcasing a different part of L.A.’s diverse culture.
The artists will perform from Los Angeles in a combination of pre-recorded and live shows, according to the publication. This will serve as a musical introduction to the 2028 L.A. Olympic Games.
Billie Eilish, who grew up in Highland Park, has become a leading voice in music for her generation. Her first album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, topped the Billboard 200 and made her the youngest artist to win all four major Grammy awards in one year.

Billie Eilish, known for hits like “Bad Guy” that topped the Billboard Hot 100, celebrated L.A.’s famous landmarks and culture in her 2021 concert film Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.
Snoop Dogg, a key figure in West Coast rap, has been a major presence during the Paris Games. With his viral commentary for NBC and his role as the U.S. Olympic torchbearer, Snoop has shown his charisma on the world stage, becoming an unofficial ambassador for the country.

Snoop Dogg has been a major force in music for over 30 years, with hits like his debut single “Who Am I (What’s My Name?)” and collaborations like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” regularly appearing on the Billboard Hot 100. Besides music, Snoop has explored acting, launched a popular line of cannabis products, and even co-hosted a cooking show with Martha Stewart.

Joining him in the musical trio are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a band that started in Los Angeles in 1983 and has been a big part of the city’s music scene ever since.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have a long history of success on the Billboard charts, with albums like Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication topping the Billboard 200. Their popular singles “Under the Bridge” and “Scar Tissue” are also well-known hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
But music isn’t the only attraction. According to TMZ, Hollywood star Tom Cruise is expected to perform a stunt that could rival his most famous movie scenes.
According to reports, Tom Cruise will rappel down from the top of Stade de France while holding the Olympic flag. After that, a pre-recorded video will show him skydiving onto the famous Hollywood sign.
