Big Brother 28 contestant Kamu Kirk has come under fire after fans uncovered his activity on social media prior to entering the CBS reality competition.
The 32-year-old professional MMA fighter, who joined the Season 28 cast when the series premiered on July 9, has drawn criticism after viewers noticed he had liked several Instagram posts that many described as homophobic and anti-LGBTQ+.
Fans Discover Past Instagram Activity
Shortly after the new season premiered, social media users began sharing screenshots of Instagram posts that Kamu had reportedly liked before entering the Big Brother house.
Among the posts were messages from conservative commentator Matt Walsh, who criticized previous White House displays recognizing Pride Month and praised the Trump administration for ending formal government recognition of the annual celebration.
Another post allegedly liked by Kamu mocked a woman’s response to a transphobic remark, while a separate post shared by the Christian account For the Gospel featured evangelical pastor Costi Hinn criticizing comments about LGBTQ+ identity and faith.
The screenshots quickly circulated online, prompting widespread discussion among Big Brother fans.

Many viewers expressed disappointment over the alleged social media activity and questioned CBS’s casting process.

Before joining Big Brother 28, Jason De Puy built a following through the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise.
Performing under the stage name Salina EsTitties, he previously competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 in 2023 before returning for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 11.
Jason entered the Big Brother house as one of this season’s most recognizable contestants.

The controversy surrounding Kamu follows another major development that occurred before the season even premiered.
Original contestant Levi Banks was removed from the cast shortly before filming began. Reports indicated that the departure stemmed from a contract-related issue, although Levi later stated publicly that appearing on the show was ultimately “not the right fit” for him and that he chose to leave.
Following his exit, Yash Patel, a 24-year-old financial analyst from New Jersey, joined the cast as his replacement.
