The series follows popular character DI Humphrey Goodman after he leaves Saint Marie to be with Martha Lloyd. Now living in the made-up town of Shipton Abbott, the friendly detective has to juggle his busy police work with an even busier home life.

Humphrey works alongside his unique team – serious DS Esther Williams, naive PC Kelby Hartford, and clever Margo Martins. At the same time, Martha’s mum Anne is always nearby to share her opinions. Beyond Paradise started in 2023 and its third season ended this May. While the BBC hasn’t officially announced a fourth season yet, sharp-eyed fans have noticed a big filming update.
