Bethenny Frankel is making headlines after revealing she was approached by one side in the ongoing legal feud between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The Real Housewives of New York City alum took to Instagram to share her take on the controversy, calling it a “botch job” and emphasizing how poorly it has been handled from the start.
Frankel Says She Was Contacted About the Feud
In an Instagram video, Frankel claimed that early in the dispute, one party reached out to her for advice. However, she didn’t mince words when sharing her thoughts on the situation.
“I will tell you that one side tried to reach out to me to discuss it,” she stated. “And my opinion about it was the following. This is exactly what I said to them: ‘It’s a botch job.’”
She clarified that this happened at the beginning of the controversy, adding, “This was in the beginning [of the controversy]. I was like, ‘This is a botch job. You botched it. The way you start a race is often how you finish.’”
While the feud has dominated headlines, Frankel noted that no one will truly know the full story until the legal battle plays out in court. “We don’t know exactly what happened,” she added.
A Tarnished Reputation for Both Sides
Regardless of the outcome, Frankel believes the damage to both stars’ reputations is already done. “To this point forward, there’s been a lot of public damage, a lot of court of public opinion, a lot of brand equity damage—that’s obvious,” she said. “It’s 2025. Things have to be done differently, positioned differently … It is endless. This is like the abyss, this trial, unnecessarily so.”
She also didn’t hold back on her blunt assessment of the situation: “It’s a st show,” she remarked. “Most importantly, you do not fk around with what you can’t lose. Period. Nobody’s bigger than the game … Anything can happen in a courtroom … The wolves are always at the end of the bed.”
The Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Feud Continues
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni has been ongoing for months, with tensions escalating over time. The drama first gained public attention when the pair avoided interviews together at the film’s premiere last summer. Initially, reports suggested Lively’s camp was siding with Baldoni, but soon after, Lively’s team filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
In response, Baldoni sued The New York Times, alleging the publication was working with Lively against him. The conflict has only intensified, with Baldoni recently releasing audio clips in an attempt to clear his name though public opinion remains divided.
For now, the case won’t see its day in court until 2026. Until then, Lively and Baldoni’s legal drama shows no signs of slowing down.
Fans can still catch the two stars together in It Ends With Us, despite the off-screen controversy.
