Matt Reeves made a big entrance into the Batman world with his 2022 live-action film, The Batman. Robert Pattinson, known for his role in Tenet, took over as Bruce Wayne, following actors like Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. Superheroes are great because different actors can play the same character over and over, and each one brings something new.
After The Batman became a huge hit in theaters, Reeves decided to move from live-action to animation. He became an executive producer for the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader on Prime Video.
Working with J.J. Abrams and his team at Bad Robot Productions, Matt Reeves helped series creator Bruce Timm bring his vision to life. The show premiered on Prime Video in early August and quickly won over fans.

By mixing familiar elements with new themes, the 10-episode series kept viewers hooked. With a second season already planned, fans are eager to see what’s next and wonder if the story will continue beyond the upcoming season.
During an interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub, Weintraub asked Matt Reeves if the studio had mentioned plans for a third season. Reeves then explained how certain factors are considered before making that kind of decision.
Reeves gave a hint about when fans might hear news about Season 3, saying,

Batman: Caped Crusader features some familiar voices. Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass) voices Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman. Jason Watkins (Coma) plays Alfred Pennyworth, Eric Morgan Stuart (Reality Bites) voices Jim Gordon, Krystal Joy Brown (Heaven Down Here) is Barbara Gordon, and John DiMaggio (Futurama) voices Harvey Bullock. The show also includes guest appearances from stars like McKenna Grace (A Friend of the Family), Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), and others.
