An actress nominated for an Emmy will be a guest star in the last season of the popular Netflix show.
Nava Mau recently got her first Emmy nomination and has a new role. She will guest star as Detective Marquez in the fifth and last season of Netflix‘s hit show “You.” This means she might meet Penn Badgley’s character, Joe Goldberg, who is a killer.
She will join Penn Badgley and other cast members like Charlotte Richie from “Wonka,” Madeline Brewer from “Orange Is the New Black,” Anna Camp from “True Blood,” Griffin Matthews from “The Flight Attendant,” Natasha Behnam from “The Girls on the Bus,” Pete Ploszek from “Parks & Recreation,” Tom Francis from “Sunset Boulevard,” and Ozioma Akagha from “Station 19” in the new season of the Netflix original.
Nava Mau recently made history as the first transgender woman nominated for an Emmy for supporting actress in a limited series or movie. In “Baby Reindeer,” she played Teri, Donny’s therapist and love interest. Teri stands out as one of the most stable and caring characters in the story about stalking, self-hatred, and sexual abuse.

The final season of the Netflix show about the obsessive Joe Goldberg will be led by showrunners Michael Foley (“The Flight Attendant“) and Justin W. Lo (“Prodigal Son“). The bloody series returns to where it all started — New York City.
After the mystery in London during Season 4, Season 5 will follow Joe and his rich partner Kate (played by Charlotte Richie) as they come to America. With Kate’s wealth, Joe has managed to fix his public image, pretending to be a victim of Love (played by Victoria Pedretti). Now that Joe has a fresh start and has fully accepted his dark side, he’s more dangerous than ever.
“There are many loose ends in Joe’s past”
said Penn Badgley in a video preview for the new season
The video also shows clips of characters from past seasons: Dr. Nicky (John Stamos) from Season 1, Ellie (Jenna Ortega) from Season 2, and the Conrads (Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle) from Season 3.
