Ashley Park, who stars in Emily in Paris, has given a hint about what’s happening with Season 5. The show, created by Darren Star, features Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, a young marketing professional, and has become one of the most loved shows for viewers looking for fun entertainment. It was renewed for a fifth season last year, first announced by Collins on Good Morning America, and later officially confirmed by Star on Netflix’s Tudum platform.
We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth season to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris! Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome.
Teasing what’s to come in the next chapter, Star said
Park’s update is the first news about Emily in Paris Season 5’s production since it was renewed. In a special interview with PEOPLE, she shared that filming will start this summer in Europe.
Let me tell you, I am highly anticipating [Emily in Paris]… It’s gonna be summertime, and it’s gonna be in Europe, but I don’t even know what country at this point. I wish I knew what was gonna be happening next, but the writers, you know, they kind of write as we go, and they see how the stories open up.
Sharing her excitement, Park said
Season 4 ended with a surprise, as Emily moved from Paris to Rome. This change led to guesses and rumors about where the next season will take place.

Park, who said she loves Italy and France, admitted she isn’t sure where they will film.
I love Europe. I love Italy and France, so I’m so excited. You know, I just did that campaign with Max Mara, like I love anything Italy as well.
Park remarks
There haven’t been many updates about Emily in Paris Season 5, but the Season 4 ending prepared viewers for another exciting part of Emily’s always-complicated love life. Even though most details are still secret, one thing is clear—the relationship drama will continue. Season 5 is expected to bring back many of Emily’s past love interests, including Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.

Fans will also see the return of Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, who is Emily’s charming chef and neighbor, and Eugenio Franceschini as Marcelo, the Italian guy Emily met while walking around Rome. Since filming is about to start, more information should come out in the next few months.
