The Vanderpump Rules alum opened up about their experience hosting Love Island Games on Peacock.
Ariana Madix has been enjoying life lately. The Vanderpump Rules alum is now hosting Love Island Games Season 2, co-owning the sandwich shop Something About Her, and managing to juggle it all.
In an interview with The New York Times published on Sept. 27, Ariana talked about how she balances hosting Love Island Games Season 2 — which is streaming on Peacock and filmed in Fiji — along with the rest of her life. “It does seem maybe that I’m busy constantly,” she said.
When it is really busy, I think, like, ‘Wow, I really wish I had a vacation,’ But then when I’m on a vacation, even if I have a few days off to myself, I start not knowing what to do with myself, and I start feeling bad.

Still, Ariana shared that she has plenty of hobbies outside of work. She does cardio at the gym even though she “hates” it, and she also loves dancing to electronic dance music, which makes her “feel free.”
Even though Love Island Games Season 2 is filming in Fiji, halfway across the world, Ariana has remained closely connected to her sandwich shop. She and her best friend Katie Maloney officially opened Something About Her in Los Angeles in May 2024, and Ariana is still thrilled about it.

In a March interview with People’s StyleWatch, Ariana spoke more about her love for Something About Her. “It’s been really fun,” she said. “It’s really nice to have a place to go, it’s lovely when we get to meet people who come in.”
Ariana has had a packed schedule, hosting Love Island Games Season 2 and previously Season 7 of Love Island USA, but she still makes the most of her days off.
Whether it’s a day I’m going to the villa or a day I’m shooting Aftersun, I have so much fun,” she told People in July while Season 7 of Love Island USA was airing on Peacock. “We have the best team and the best crew. So even going to work doesn’t really feel like work. Sometimes there are some really late nights, I won’t lie, but on my days off, I am usually going to the gym.
Sometimes, if multiple people on my team have the same day off, then maybe we go snorkeling,” she added. “It’s honestly just the best job ever.
