Arcane Season 2 just wrapped up, bringing Jinx and Vi’s story to an end. However, showrunner Christian Linke shared that a new League of Legends series has already been in the works for a year.
Linke has hinted at a new series based on the popular MOBA, saying,
In a Twitch interview with streamer Necrit94, Linke shared that Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia are next in line for their own shows in this cinematic universe. So, if your favorite League champion didn’t appear in Arcane, you might see them come to life soon! Linke hasn’t revealed exactly when these new shows will come out, but he did mention that:
French animation studio Fortiche worked on Arcane for nine years—six of those for Season 1 and three more for Season 2. This means the wait for the next series could take up to five years. Hopefully, the team can use some of the work they already created for Arcane to speed things up.

Taking time is crucial for animators to do their best work. The show’s $250 million budget mainly went toward voice actors and giving animators enough time to create the amazing quality we see on screen. Showrunner Alex Yee explained that they wanted the artists to have the freedom to add their special touches and for all the different teams to show their full potential.
