Over the second half of 2024, Max (formerly HBO) ruled Samba TV’s Weekly Wrap Report charts with two major shows, “House of the Dragon” and “The Penguin.” Both shows were chart-toppers throughout their eight-episode runs and remained most-watched even the week after their finales, giving each a remarkable nine-week streak at the top.
Now, Max appears to have another hit with “Dune: Prophecy,” a sci-fi series spun off from the successful “Dune” movies. The fan base from the films seems to have carried over, pushing the show’s first episode to the top of the streaming chart this week.

However, “Dune” has some catching up compared to Max’s other hits. The series did not appear on the chart during its premiere week, likely because it debuted on a Sunday, the last day of tracking. Still, its current success suggests strong momentum, and it will be monitored in future Weekly Wrap Reports.
