In an interview on The Kickabout with Toby Tarrant (standing in for Johnny Vaughan) on Radio X, Toby asked Alex if the show was becoming more popular.
Yeah, weirdly it is. It’s only on YouTube in America, but it seems to have picked up momentum somehow. And I like being a niche, culty thing, and it is that. You know, it’s a very small thing in a huge pond. But, I mean, I’ve always said if Greg goes – which he will eventually, because he’s not a healthy man – it’s going to be… I think Trump is the only possible successor. Oh, that would be a sort of nice full circle. He went from The Apprentice, dabbled briefly in politics, and then returns as the host.
Then toby replied

I love you’re saying he’s dabbled briefly in politics.
Alex joked back
I just picture him sat on the throne with Alex sat next to him, Toby said. Alex pipped back, I’ll still be there. Toby exclaimed, Oh you’ll still be there!
At the same time, Channel 4 has announced the line-up for the upcoming 19th series of Taskmaster.
Podcast star Rosie Ramsey will lead the group of celebrities for the new series.
She will be joined by Ghosts actor Mathew Baynton, comedian and actor Stevie Martin, popular US Netflix star Jason Mantzoukas, and comedy writer Fatiha El-Ghorri.
