When filming for Happy Gilmore 2 finished, Adam Sandler joined The Dan Patrick Show to talk about the comedy sequel. He shared details about some surprise cameos and hinted at when the Netflix movie might be released.
They told me not to do any interviews, so they’ll probably get mad at me, But go ahead, ask your questions, and I’ll let you know if I should talk about it or not.
Sandler joked at the start of the interview
Can I mention that Eminem has a cameo?
Patrick asked. He also has a small role in the movie
“I’ve known Eminem for a long time, and he’s an awesome guy,” Sandler said, confirming that the rapper is part of the movie. Eminem was seen on set in New Jersey last November.
He came in and was hilarious. We spent a whole day filming with him, and it was crazy. He said a ton of things we can use, and we’re so glad we got it all on tape.

Sandler also confirmed that retired golf champion Jack Nicklaus will make a cameo. Patrick then suggested the film could be ready for release during the Fourth of July weekend.
Not by July 4th, but we’re working to have it ready for July,
Sandler said
Along with Sandler, Happy Gilmore 2 will bring back Ben Stiller, Christopher McDonald as the pro-golfer Shooter McGavin, and Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Sandler’s love interest. New stars joining the cast include Nick Swardson, Benny Safdie, Bad Bunny, Margaret Qualley, and Travis Kelce. Kyle Newacheck is directing the movie.
Released in 1996, the original Happy Gilmore helped make Sandler a bigger movie star after his roles in Billy Madison and Airheads. The golf comedy made $41 million at the box office with a budget of just $12 million and has since become one of Sandler’s most loved films.
