The movie is written and directed by Alex Scharfman, who is making his first full-length movie after directing short films. But he’s not new to Hollywood—he’s worked on movies like Resurrection (starring Rebecca Hall), House of Spoils (with Ariana DeBose), Playback (with Christian Slater), and Keep The Lights On, which was popular at film festivals.

Scharfman also knows some big names in the industry. He even got legendary horror filmmaker John Carpenter to create the music for Death of a Unicorn!
Death of a Unicorn is set to come out in spring 2025, but A24 hasn’t announced the exact date yet.
