How Does Smile 1 Connect With Smile 2?

The new sequel of Smile brings back Joel who now struggles with the curse. Besides Joel, there is a new character Skye, who is the latest victim of the curse. The sequel dives deeper into the entity’s roots and highlights how the curse continues to spread.
Does Smile have 2 endings?

Originally yes, Smile has two endings, but it only made it to the final cut. The ending that was released in the theatres was Rose succumbing to the Smile Entity, and passing the curse to Joel. Whereas, in the other ending, Rose tries to survive the curse by putting Joel on fire and saving herself. But this darker version doesn’t fit well into the story, and hence, we decided not to continue with this ending.

Is Smile 2 Worth Watching?

To find out the worth of watching the new sequel of Smile movie, please read the reviews below. On Smile 2 IMDb, the sequel has garnered high praise for its storytelling and performances. Here is what fans are saying;

I am mentally always setting a low bar for remakes and sequels. Traditionally these are mistakes to do. However I was pleasantly surprised how much fun this turned out to be! The lead actress killed it as Smiles next victim. Genuinely could feel her terrors her eyes. The first movie did an excellent set up for the story, but I gotta say I enjoyed this more than the first one. Bringing back the policeman character was an excellent way to start this new one.
I felt the deaths were creative and gory and even described a scene to my friends as “beautifully choreographed”. I am quite sure I have never said that for a horror movie scene in my entire life. 😂
The movie even provided genuine laughs from the audience and myself!

Smile 2 pleasantly surprised me. I had a great time watching it in the cinema. The film offered more theatrical elements in certain scenes, and Naomi Scott’s performance was outstanding. Although some plot points were left unresolved, it made me eager for more, which is a good sign. Without giving away spoilers, the ending left me pondering whether it was good or bad, but after some thought, I believe it was fitting and opens the door for new stories. Personally, I enjoyed the movie, and fans of the genre will likely appreciate it too. It’s a must-watch for horror enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

WARNING: if you were scared of the first movie this is literally going to traumatise you. I thought I could handle this, I was wrong.
I wish I had never seen this, it was absolutely brilliant but now I’m too scared to have a shower because the smile demon might be behind the shower curtain.
I could sense all the jumpscares but that didn’t stop me almost falling out of my seat, it felt like I was having a mini heart attack every time. If someone smiles at me in the street I am running in the other direction.
The gore is on another level and I advise you to shut your eyes after the weights scene if you don’t want PTSD.
Phenomenal acting from Naomi Scott. Production was amazing.
